How we operate

Hobart Herbalists Without Borders (HHWB) does not operate as a “standard” complementary medicine clinic. Our team is entirely comprised of volunteers giving their spare time to help the community. As such, while we will always do our best to assist you, there is no guarantee of continuity of care/seeing the same practitioner across multiple appointments.

HHWB is primarily a triage service aimed at assisting people in our communities who do not have herbal (or allopathic) medical care accessible to them.

Appointment slots are 20 to 30 minutes long. HHWB reserves the right to amend or otherwise alter or cancel appointments if the need arises.

If:

  • You would prefer more flexible arrangements/appointment time slots, or
  • You have the funds to directly support our practitioners, or
  • You have a complex case best treated with ongoing continuity of care,

It would be best to book with a practitioner directly. This allows for ongoing, personalised care to assist you in reaching your own health goals.

Our practitioners

If you’d like to book directly with one of our volunteer practitioners, you’ll find their details below.

Jessica Cherrett

Naturopath & Storyteller (ANTA)

I’ve been a plant person as long as I can remember, and from my earliest memories plant medicine and stories have been woven together. I now have 10 years of clinical experience under my belt and continue to intertwine these modalities to create a more complete healing experience.

I offer telehealth appointments, or face to face consultations in Cygnet. Appointments run from 45 to 90 minutes depending on need, alongside quick consults for acute needs and quick check-ups.

I run workshops, talks, and community events frequently, and operate a community herbal apothecary south of Hobart.
